Ojos Rojos es un proyecto fotográfico nacido como revista digital gratuita (sigue estando disponible en la web), y convertido desde 2019 en festival.

Ojos Rojos es fotografía autoral de España e Iberoamérica. Nuestros intereses van desde las fotógrafas y fotógrafos consolidados a la fotografía emergente, desde lo clásico a lo contemporáneo, desde lo local a los puentes transoceánicos con América, enriqueciéndonos con la diversidad cultural y generacional, pero siempre haciendo prevalecer la calidad de los trabajos

Exhibition 'Archipelagos' in Sala Kursala of the Campus of Cádiz

Nowadays the artist no longer works exclusively through a commissioner or an editor for the management of his work, in fact, self-management is increasingly present. This is why you acquire the knowledge of the processes of creation of an expository project is increasingly important for the author. In this workshop we will approach the artist to the knowledge of a commissioner, from the conceptualization and development of the expository idea until its design and itinerancy.

 

DEVELOPING:

09: 30-13: 30

  • Introduction: Concepts, Short review of the story, examples.
  • Expository projects: conceptualization, idea, edition, space, elements and dossier, examples.
  • Exhibition: Materials, budget, conceptualization, communication, publication, calendars and guided tours.
  • Example of the whole process.

 

16: 30-20:30

  • Edition of the work of students for their own expository design.
  • Expository practice: digital and paper.

 

* Students are required to bring a selection of their paperwork, preferably a paper that can be touched and manipulated (avoid quality paper) to perform an insitu practice.

* Students must bring a laptop, with Photoshop and their digital work to perform a digital practice, is not mandatory, but recommended for a better use of the workshop.

About Ire Lenes

re Lenes (1981) is a documentary photographer from Madrid, where she lives and works. She is a Sociologist by profession, she has been trained in the new documentary and contemporary landscape at the PICA School in Alcobendas and Photoespaña in Madrid.

She focuses her work on the relationship of people with their surroundings and their history, always understanding the individual and society as an indivisible binomial. Through visual narration she investigates societies or social issues that interest her as a sociologist.

Since 2016, her work focuses on the investigation of ethnic minorities in the Baltic countries after their independence from the Soviet Union.

Although the main weight of her work is documentary, she also develops works experimental with polaroid camera and pinhole.
