All's well? LET'S TELL LIES
As if it were a dystopia, the photographs in the book “Todo va bien” acquire an unexpected layer of reading. Its pages remind us that this wonderful world that we see on every screen has a back room full of cracks and useless objects, of empty spaces, inhospitable places and ownerless shadows that suddenly seem premonitory of an uncertain future.
My photographic world feeds on the written word and I have found in a hardly known world –beyond the clichés– two fundamental references in my way of interpreting the world. Haiku and Wabi-sabi, two ancient Japanese traditions that seek to transmit the emotions that have been felt when contemplating something and always trying to refer to its most universal meaning.Beyond the name you want to give it: photographic book, artist's book or photobook, every day I am more interested in researching and working on photographic editing and publication.
