For the first time in Xàbia, within the activities scheduled in this edition, we include a portfolio review session, giving photographers the opportunity for professionals to review their work. Portfolio reviewing is a tool, highly recommended for the author to receive feedback from people specialized in the photographic field, from tips to finish a job, give it a different approach, or to know what outputs a project can have once finished. How to expose a work, to whom to send our work, these and many more questions are those that these professionals will solve for us.

In this viewing, you will be able to show your project to 6 experts from the world of photography and cultural management, interact with other photographers and share experiences. Each expert will dedicate about 20 minutes to each author.
The format that we have chosen to do the viewing is the Portfolio Walk in which 20 photographers are selected to present their work. We will provide them with tables where they can show their project.
From all the works, among the experts, a work will be chosen to be followed up and to be exhibited at the next edition of the Ojos Rojos Festival.
What are you waiting for? You have time to sign up until September 21

Who can apply?
The portfolio review is open to all nationalities, without age limit. The CV of the authors  will not be taken into account.
How to apply?
Photographers who want to participate in the portfolio review  will send a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 images of the same subject, in PDF format (weighing no more than 15Mb), to the email festivalojosrojos@gmail.com. In the subject will be written VISIONADO. It will include the name of the author, the title of the project, and a short text of no more than 1000 characters on the topic being presented.
In order to register, applicants must make a deposit of 10€ in the festival's account to cover the management costs. If you are one of the 20 selected, you will be notified by email on September 22, 2021.
If you receive the communication, you will have to make a deposit of  40€ (destined to cover the expenses of the experts), which will give you the right to attend the viewing. October 2, 2021
Portfolios for viewing
The finalist portfolios will be presented in physical format. On paper, at the size that the author sees fit. Works presented on tablets or laptops will not be accepted. The work that is presented for viewing must be the one presented when registering.
Of the projects viewed, a single project will be selected, which will be awarded with the possibility of exhibiting at the IV edition of the Ojos Rojos Festival. The decision will be made by the jury and will be final.
Image rights
The authors of the finalist works of the reviews will yield their image rights to the organization with the sole purpose of publicizing and informing about the event. Also to promote Festival Ojos Rojos in this or future editions or any non-profit activity related to the Festival.
